Case Study: Off-Grid Solar for a Working Farm & Fabrication Yard

Park Hill Farm is a working sheep farm with a metal fabrication and plant business — Owens Agricultural — on site. That is a serious industrial load, far beyond domestic scale.

In December 2025 we installed a 45 kVA Victron inverter system (3× MultiPlus-II 48|15000) with rooftop solar and battery storage. The diesel generator is still on site, wired in as backup — but it has not run since 16 March 2026.

In the client’s words: “Our previous setup of generators was unsustainable, costing over £150 a week in fuel and maintenance.”
